Ground Turkey Curry


Ground Turkey Curry

This is an easy curry from Pakistan.

3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 medium onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 pound ground turkey or chicken
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
6 tablespoons plain yogurt
2 medium tomatoes, peeled and chopped
1/2 teasppon salt, to taste
8 ounces potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters

Put oil into pan on meium high heat. When oil i shot add onion and fry until it begins to brown. Add garlic and fry for one more minute, Add the chicken, turmeric, and cayenne pepper. Stir, breadking up meat and cook until no longer pink. Add yogurt and cook stirring until yogurt is absorbed. Add the tomatoes, salt and potatoes. Stir and cook for a minute, Cover; and trun to low. Cook gently for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Add salt for taste.
