Microwave Swiss Steak



Swiss steak is good on rice or noodles. Today I amde white rice. I use the gravy you make while making the swiss steak to go over the rice.



11/2 - 2 pounds beef round steak, cut into serving pieces
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 can reduced fat condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 soup can water
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 small onion chopped

Brown meat in frying pan with the oil.
Place meat into 2 quart microwave safe casserole
In a mixing bowl mix the soup, water, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Pour over meat in dish.
Arrange onions on top.
Cooked covered 10 minutes and then rest 5 minutes. Rotate dish 1/4 turn and cook 7 to 8 minutes and then rest 5 minutes. Rotate dish 1/4 turn and cook 10 minutes. Rest 10 minutes before serving.

6 to 8 servings.
