Butter Rich Roll And Bread Roll Dough

Made into rolls with glaze and flour dusting.

This is a wonderful Bread machine dough recipe designed for the bread machine "DOUGH" setting.. It can be used for rolls, bread, Pretzels (soft) and Cinnnamon Rolls.

1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup sugar
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 cups all-purpose flour or bread flour
1 package active dry yeast

Egg Glaze:

1 beaten egg
1 tablespoon water

In pan add the milk nad butter, sugar, eggs and salt. Put flour into pan and sprinkle yeast over top. Close lid and select "Dough" cycle and wait until complete.

Preheat oven to 375 dregees F. Remove dough and roll out on floured surface. Shape. Add egg glaze, if desired. Bake as directed. Remove from pans , cool on rack.


Divide dough in half. Shape each into a loaf Put into 2 greased 8x4 inch loaf pans. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes


Shape into 24 balls Place into greased muffin pans or Put 12 each into a round cake pans. Let rise for 15 minutes. Bake 20 to 25 minutes.

Cinnamon Loaf

Roll half of each dough out into a 12 x 8 inch rectangle. Spread 3 tablspoons butter and sprinkle with 1/3 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup rasisn. Roll dough up into loaf. Pinch ends. Put into 2 greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pans. Let rise. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until deep golden brown.

Cinnamon Rolls

Make as above except cut rolls into 12 slices and place on greased pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.


Shape dough into ball. Divide into quarters. Cut each quarter into 3 pieces. Roll into ropes 10 inches long. Shape into pretzel. Brush with glaze. and sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake 18 to 25 minutes.
