Jook -Slow cooker/Crockpot

This is the Chinese style of what to do with leftover turkey.

Turkey bones
1/2 cup rice, uncooked, washed
6 cups water
1 teaspoon rock salt (or to your taste)
1/2 cup raw peanuts
1-2 cups chopped turkey

Garnish:

Chopped lettuce
Cchung choi, chopped fine*
Chinese parsley, chopped
Green onions, chopped
Shoyu (soy sauce) or oyster sauce
Sesame oil

Put bones, water & rice into a slow cooker (this is for the small one, feel free to adjust the quantity, just keep the proportions!). Cook on low for 4-6 hours, high for 2-3 hours. Add turkey before serving. Heat . Stir when ready.

*Chung choi is a Chinese salted preserved cabbage. You can find it at Asian store or you might be able to find it in the Oriental food section of large grocery stores.
