Easy, Creamy Fudge



This picture shows the fudge made with and without walnuts


1 package ( 8 -1 ounce blocks) Semisweet Chocolate
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
2 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 2/3 cups sugar
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1/4 teaspoon salt

Break chocolate into small pieces, place in mixing bowl. Add marshmallows, margarine or butter, nuts and vanilla, set aside. Add sugar, evaporated milk and salt in 2- quart saucepan. Stir constantly over medium heat until mixture comes to full rolling boil. Boil and stir for 4 minutes or until candy thermometer reaches 228 degrees F. Carefully pour mixture over ingredients in mixing bowl, stir until marshmallows and chocolate are completely melted. Pour into buttered 8-inch square pan. Cool. Cut into 32 pieces.
