Saucijzenbroojes (pig in the blanket)

I liked these as a child. They ones I had were made with franks. I still make them sometimes with beef or turkey franks.

2 3/4 - 3 pounds sausage
3 cups flour
3 tablspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup margarine
1 cup milk

Dough Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in margarine like making pie dough or bisquits. Mix in milk. Form into a smooth ball. Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness, cut into strips about 3 1/2 inch wide. Wrap each pig loosely in dough, overlapping on the bottom. Do not pinch ends shut. Prick each with a fork. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees, then 15 minutes at 350 degrees until brown.

They can be frozen for up to 4 months.
