Kafta-Skewered Ground Meat
This is good but I really perfer my meat with more flavor and spices. I put curry ketchup on mine.
Combine :
1 pound ground beef or lamb
1 onion, finely minced or grated
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cups bread crumbs
1/4 cup parsley, finely minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
pepper to taste
Knead mixture thoroughly. Cover an refrigerate 2 hours. Divide mixture into 6 parts. Pat mixture around 6 skewers into long flattened patties, about 1 1/2 inches wide. Grill or broil in oven until browned and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes. Serve with pita bread or Rice with Vermicelli.
