Witches Brew

Well the girls wanted to eat something that Harry Potter eats. They found this one on a Harry Potter Food website . This is a variation of Batman stew and Hobo stew that was served in the Lunch rooms of schools in the US when they actually still cooked food. Well a few still do, I guess, but a lot of the schools use frozen foods. I also did not have cheese so I topped with bread crumbs and used turkey bacon. I would also use only one onion next time.

Witches Brew

¼ cup bacon (I used turkey bacon cooked in microwave)
1 ½ pounds ground beef
2 green peppers, cup up
2 large onions
1 large can of tomatoes
1 large can tomato sauce
1 can kidney beans
1 can mushrooms drained
2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni, cooked
Slat and pepper
Grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cut bacon into pieces, fry until brown; remove bacon from the pan. . Brown hamburger, green pepper, and onions. Add tomatoes, beans and mushrooms .Cook for 15 minutes; stir in bacon and macaroni. Pour mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for 1 hour.
