Easy Cheesy Drop Danish

This is not a real Danish but more like a sweet bisquit. I prepared them for a house guest I had this morning. I doubled the filling when I made mine.

Makes 12 Danish

Ingredients:

Cream Cheese filling (below)

2 cups origianl bisquik mix or similar
1/4 cup butter or margarine, solftened
2 tablespoons sugar
2/3 cups milk

Vanilla Glaze (below)

Heat oven to 450 degrees F. Lightly grease cookie sheet with shortening. Make cream cheese filling. Set aside. Stir bisquit mix, butter and sugar in medium bowl until crumbly. Stir in milk until dough forms. Beat with spoon 15 strokes.

Drop dough by rounded tablspoon 2 inches apart on sheet. Make a well into each . Fill with about 1 heaping teaspoon filling.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Drizzle glaze over warm danish. Store in refrigerator.

Cream cheese filling:

1 package (3 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablspoon milk

Vanilla Glaze:

3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon warm water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Mix all ingredients until smooth and thin enought to drizzle.
