Mexican-Style Hamburgers

These are a patty you can either grill, broil or pan fry and are very simple and fast. It gives you a change of pace from just a plain patty. Add more spices according to your taste.

1 beaten egg
2 tablespoons salsa or taco sauce
3/4 cup soft bread crumbs
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon chilli powder (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon cumin
1 pound ground beef, pork, veal or lamb

Mix together all the ingredients. Shape into patties (four or six).

Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat for 10 to 12 minutes or grill or pan fry 10 to 12 minutes and no longer pink in middle. Serve on a hamburger bun or serve as a patty with rice, macaroni and cheese or whatever you like.
