This is less not too expensive to prepare, easy and pretty darn good. I used to make it all the time and but I have been trying to avoid package mixes to control the salt.
1 (l.25 oz) pkg. chili seasoning mix
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1 (14 1/2 oz) can tomatoes chopped
1/2 c. onion, chopped
3/4 c. water
2 cups of elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
In a large skillet brown ground beef. Drain fat. Stir in chili seasoning mix, onion, peppers, tomatoes and water. Bring to a boil and simmer 15 minutes. Add cooked macaroni and simmer 5 minutes. Before serving you can top with shredded cheddar cheese, if desired.
Serves 4
