Ajwaini Broccoli

Ajwaini Broccoli

If you can not find Ajwaini you can use the same amount of thyme.

Broccoli
1/2 tablespoons Oil
1 teaspoon Garlic
1 teaspoon Ajwain
1-2 teaspoons Lemon Juice
1/2 teaspoon Salt

STEAM THE BROCCOLI IN A STEAMER/ COVERED SIEVE OVER A PAN OF BOILING WATER 5 MINUTES. THE BROCCOLI SHOULD RETAIN ITS COLOUR AND REMAIN CRUNCHY. KEEP ASIDE.

AT SERVING TIME, HEAT OIL IN A NON STICK PAN AND ADD THE AJWAIN. REDUCE HEAT. WAIT FOR A FEW SECONDS. ADD GARLIC PASTE. SAUTE OVER A LOW FLAME TILL IT JUST CHANGES COLOUR.

ADD THE BROCCOLI AND SALT. SAUTE FOR 5 MINUTES.

SPRINKLE WITH LEMON JUICE AND SERVE IMMEDIATELY AS A SIDE DISH.
