Macaroni and Beef - American Crock Pot Recipe
This is a recipe I used from the Best-Loved Slow Cooker Recipes Cookbook. The recipe does not have you saute` the onions but I went ahead and precooked the onions with the beef. In my humble opinion adding some spices could give this dish add zest, which I was thinking of doing but will see how the flavor comes out as the recipe dictates.
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
2 cups uncooked mararoni
2 cans (103/4 ounces each) condensed tomato soup
1 can (16 ounces) whole-kernel corn, drained
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 can (2 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
Salt and black pepper, as desired
In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onions, drain well. Put into crock pot/slow cooker.
cook macaroni according to package directions, until barley tender, drain well. Add macaroni and remaining ingredients to Crock pot/slow cooker. Stir just enough to blend, Cover and cook on Low 7 to 9 hours or High 3 to 4 hours.
