A traffic jam of mandarins clogs the area
Apparently there are now growers of mandarins or tangerinesin the Ventura area and they must of have a good year for their market gardens. In Ventura their was mostly lemons with some groves of oranges. I can still remember the wonderful sweet flower smell you had all over the city and while driving around the groves. Sadly, most of the groves are long gone. I do not even know if the largest orange farm in the world is still around or if land got sold off. It had acres of oranges and lemons from Ventura to the Valencia area, which is were the Highway 5 freeway runs from LA to the Bay area. If the fresh mandarins are anything like the oranges you could get off the farms you can not get any better.
