Processing Pumpkins for pies, bread, cookies and more

Today I made pumpkin puree so I can make more pies, cakes, cookies and more. Is an easy process but time consuming.

Directions

1.Cut pumpkin in half.
2.Scrape out seeds and fibrous material

3.Put pumpkin on baking sheet with water on the bottom and bake in a 345 degree oven until the pumpkin is cooked.
4.Let cool enough to work with.
5.Puree pumpkin

6.I process into a colander lined with cheese cloth or a clean tea towel to squeeze out any extra moisture.
6.Separate pumpkin into freezer bags or containers for amount needed to what ever you will make. I froze 2 cups in each bag.
