Algonquin Traditional Cranberry Sauce

I have never made this yet but I think I will try this Thanksgiving coming up next monuth in November to go with the Traditional Cranberry Sauce and the Pear Cranberry sauce I make every year to go with my sweets and sours.

Algonquin Traditional Cranberry Sauce

1 ½ pounds Cranberries
2 cups maple syrup*
1 ½ cups water*

*Note you can mix ¾ cups maple syrup with 2 cups white sugar and reduce the water in the recipe to ¾ cup.

Mix together and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, adding a little more water if necessary to keep mixture smooth. Cool and serve.
