Armenian Pita Bread- Bread Machine


Armenian Pita Bread


2 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
2 cups bread flour
1 1/2 teaspoons Salt
1 1/2 teaspoons Sugar
1 cup water


Add all ingredients for the dough in the order suggested by your bread machine manual and process in the dough cycle according to the manufacturer directions. Preheat the oven to 450 °F . At the end of the dough cycle, remove the dough from the machine. The dough will be sticky . Divide the dough into 8 pieces. Roll each piece between your hands into a ball. On a floured board with floured hands press each ball into a 5-inch circle. Place on lightly greased sheet. Do not let rise. Immediately bake 12 to 15 minutes until each pita puffs and browns.
